Procurement training – Basic and Intermediate sessions

Organisations face many risks when making purchasing decisions. Procurement training can help reduce these risks by assisting staff to understand them and make informed decisions.

LGAT is trialing a procurement training program for council staff who are new to council procurement and purchasing processes or who require a refresher to update existing knowledge.

Two half-day courses are on offer during May as follows:

  1. Basic procurement skills training  – 5 May and 15 May
  2. Intermediate procurement skills training – 5 May and 15 May.

LGAT Procurement can also offer in-house council-specific basic and intermediate training. Please contact Deborah.Leisser@lgat.tas.gov.au for further information.

All courses will be interactive and provide examples of both good and problematic procurement practices.
