LGAT General Meetings

LGAT holds at least three General Meetings every year. The function of General Meetings is to formulate and ratify policy of LGAT. Votes are taken and a majority of member councils constitutes a quorum.

In accordance with the Rules of Assocation, General Meetings may be called by the president or the LGAT General Management Committee.

In addition to formulating and ratifying policy of the Assocation, a function of the General Meeting is to consider extending the term of office of the general management committee, the president, or the vice-president for such period as the General Meetings thinks fit.

Presentations

From time to time, presentations are given at General Meeting on topics of value and interest to Local Government. If you wish to receive a copy of a presentation to any General Meeting (these are often in PowerPoint) please click here and type 'General Meeting Presentation' in the subject line. Please include the date of the General Meeting at which the presentation was delivered.
