General MeetingsLGAT holds at least three General Meetings every year. The function of General Meetings is to formulate and ratify policy of LGAT. Votes are taken and a majority of member councils constitutes a quorum. In accordance with the Rules of Assocation, General Meetings may be called by the president or the LGAT General Management Committee. In addition to formulating and ratifying policy of the Assocation, a function of the General Meeting is to consider extending the term of office of the general management committee, the president, or the vice-president for such period as the General Meetings thinks fit.
