Councillor Learning & Development

LGAT facilitates information and learning sessions for local government elected members. These vary in their delivery from weekend residential workshops to half-day regional seminars.

Councillor Program Committee

The Councillor Program Committee is a sub-committee of LGAT and provides advice to assist LGAT to structure appropriate responses to the learning and information needs of local government elected members. In particular, the Councillor Program Committee assists in the development of councillor events.

Local Government Conference

The annual local government conference is the premier event on the Tasmanian local government calendar. Comprising the LGAT annual general meeting, a two day conference and the announcement of the annual Tasmanian Local Government Awards for Excellence, these three days each year offer up many opportunities to enhance understanding of the issues, challenges and opportunities facing local government.
