LGAT supports State Government allowing Councils to determine speed limits for local roads in their municipal areas within Australian Standard Guidelines. (GM 2000)
A draft policy should be prepared for dissemination to Councils on the issue of approval of heavy vehicle usage on Council roads. (GM 2002)
Local Government resists any attempt by the State Government to move responsibility for the installation, maintenance or replacement of road line marking to Local Government. (GM 2006)
