A report was produced that summarised a survey of councils about approaches and software that could be used by on a shared basis by councils.
The project also sought to identify appropriate tools to provide council websites with point and click authoring, publishing and electronic commerce activities. This led to the trial of the Unity DCW content management system by two councils.
This pilot was used to successfully demonstrate to councils that an affordable content management system was available. The majority of councils are now using Unity DCW. Also look at Website Management Tools.
