LGAT facilitates information and learning sessions for Local Government elected members. These vary from weekend residential workshops to half-day regional seminars.
An Elected Member's Professional Development Weekend will be held at Wrest Point in Hobart from 20-21 February 2016, providing a valuable learning and networking opportunity. Sessions will be held on burying the hatchet with council colleagues, community engagement skills for councillors, what the new Planning Scheme will mean for you, making the relationship with your General Manager work and managing conflicts of interest on Council. There will also be a Q&A session on the NBN and a LGAT policy update.
For enquiries about the Elected Member Professional Development Weekend, contact Stephanie Watson on 6233 5119, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
