Local Government Awards for Excellence
The Local Government Awards for Excellence recognise council initiatives that have, or are delivering a positive result for Tasmanian communities. Council projects that demonstrate excellence through innovation, leadership or best-practice are eligible for entry. Elected Members' Professional Development Weekend
An Elected Member's Professional Development Weekend will be held at Wrest Point in Hobart from 20-21 February 2016, providing a valuable learning and networking opportunity. Sessions will be held on burying the hatchet with council colleagues, community engagement skills for councillors, what the new Planning Scheme will mean for you, making the relationship with your General Manager work and managing conflicts of interest on Council. There will also be a Q&A session on the NBN and a LGAT policy update.
